Decatur County administrator receives raise, two-year contract

Decatur County Administrator Alan Thomas was given a new two-year contract at Tuesday’s Board of Commissioners Meeting.
The Board unanimously voted to keep Thomas on as administrator through July 2020. He will receive a raise from $140,000 to $150,000.
Thomas was hired by Decatur County in July 2015, replacing interim county administrator Perry Henry. Thomas served as Decatur County administrator from 1989-2005.
Correction: Alan Thomas’s raise was not from $115,000 to $150,000.
