Mr. Willard Jean Britt, 84, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2018, at his home in Cairo, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2018, at Eastside Baptist Church, Pastor Andrew Donalson and Pastor Johnny Moore officiating, with committal and military honors taking place at the church. He will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Danny Griner, Jamie Jones, Mark Bishop, Jay Smith, Alan Sauls, and Jim Joiner. A visitation is scheduled for one hour before the service at Eastside Baptist Church.

Mr. Willard Jean Britt was born February 9, 1934, in Cairo, Georgia to the late Clemons Britt and Foy Gainous Britt. He served in the United States Army. He married Josephine Weathers on July 1, 1956, and was a salesman for Marvel Oil Company for sixteen years, and owned and operated Automotive Parts and Accessories. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 123. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Josephine Weathers Britt of Cairo; daughter Marsha Britt Whitman (John V. Jr.) of Tampa, Florida; son Richard Alan Britt (Cyndi) of Bainbridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Michael Duane Butler (Anna) of Tampa, Fla., Meaghan Elizabeth Butler of St. Cloud, Fla., Sarah Whitman Godwin (Jason) of Tampa, Brian Alan Britt (Amanda) of Cairo, Ashton Danielle Britt of Dothan, Ala.; ten great-grandchildren; a sister Sandra Britt Miller (Douglas) of Elizabethton, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
