- B . “Bill” Connell, 90, of Bainbridge, Ga., formerly of Lawrenceville and Nashville, Ga., passed away Monday, June 25, 2018.
The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Nashville United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating.

Alvin Billie Connell was born October 5, 1927, in Nashville, the son of Perry and Louola Knowles Connell. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired with 50+ years with J. H. Harvey Company having served as the Vice President of Produce. Bill was a member of Nashville UMC.
Bill loved kids especially his own grandchildren and great-grands. He was kind and caring, never meeting a stranger. He enjoyed handy-man projects, golfing, camping and vacationing in the mountains.
Survivors include his daughters, Gail C. Johnson of Lawrenceville, and Billie C. Barber and her husband, Carl, of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Michael & Kathryn McGraw, Crissy & Justen Davis, and Misty & Alan Tice; and his great-grandchildren, Chance Davis, Charley Davis, Chloe Davis, Kinsley McGraw and Emma McGraw. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nadine H. Connell.
