Rising senior Roman Harrison is bringing some national attention to Bainbridge.

The 6-foot-2, 241-pound defensive end/outside linebacker currently has eight offers from programs across the country.

Appalachian State, Florida Atlanta, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, South Alabama, Tennessee and Troy have all offered Harrison.

Harrison has not taken any official visits, but he did attend a camp with the Tennessee Volunteers last week, where he recorded a massive 39-inch vertical jump. In May, the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association named Harrison to the All State Team for his performance during the 2017 season.

Harrison started on Bainbridge varsity in two games his freshman year, where he racked up three solo tackles, and a sack. His sophomore year, Harrison started in 11 games and recorded 46 tackles, with three sacks and 27 sack yards lost.

His junior year, Harrison played in nine games and bounced back from a leg injury that kept him out during a couple region games. He racked up 50 solo tackles, 8.5 sacks and had 78 sacks yards lost.

He averages five tackles a game.

In May, a video on Harrison’s twitter account shows him hitting a 410-pound one rep bench max.

Harrison and the rest of the Bainbridge Bearcats will start their season on Friday, Aug. 17, against Seminole County at Centennial Field. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
