Ronald Neil Murphy, 83, of Moultrie, Georgia, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Magnolia Manor South Senior Living.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Antioch Chapel (the chapel at Magnolia Manor) with the Rev. Randy Carnley and Mrs. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will be in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born March 19, 1935, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Frank Edward Murphy and Bernice Beasley Murphy. In earlier years Mr. Murphy was a floral designer with Napier Flower Shop and later was the Vice President and General Manager at Stone’s Home Centers. He was a member of Reynolds Methodist Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Murphy Jr., Russell Murphy and Max Murphy.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hardeman Murphy of Moultrie; daughter, Cynthia Murphy Law and Kenneth of Chattanooga Tenn.; sons, Ronald Jeffery Murphy and Melanie of Bainbridge, Scott Hardeman Murphy and Camille, of Oxford Miss.; grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Brandi, Blake, Sarah Catherine, Megan, Forrest and Anna; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Murphy and Debbie of Calhoun Ga.; sisters, Bernice “Bootsie” Ricks, Joyce Hopkins, Faye Murphy, Bonnie May and Dwight all of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends after the service at Magnolia Manor on Saturday.
