Jack Courson Tillman Sr.

Jack Courson Tillman, Sr., age 92, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Tuesday morning, April 24, 2018 at his residence.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Tillman was born in Surrency, Ga. on June 26, 1925, to Atticus Haygood Tillman and Bertie Bargeron Tillman.  He was a member of Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church and loved golfing, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors.  Mr. Tillman was a retired prison guard with the federal prison system and served his country in the US Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Tana E. Tillman of Jackson, Ga., Lynn T. Banister (David) of Stockbridge, Ga., and Jaye Tillman (Carol) of Donalsonville. Mr. Tillman is also survived by his grandchildren, Waylon Tillman, Patrick Tillman, Chad Tillman, Trey Tillman, Kara Banister, and Gia Doutre; his great-grandchildren, Maya Doutre and Jake Doutre; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tillman was preceded in death by his parents, Atticus Haygood Tillman and Bertie Bargeron Tillman and his 11 siblings.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
