Oak City Cemetery will come alive Thursday evening when the City of Bainbridge Downtown Development Authority conducts a new Spring Living History Tour. Walking tours begin at 5:30 p.m. and run every 15 minutes until 7:30 p.m. Riding tours are also available leaving at 5:45 until 6:30 p.m.
Just as in the past, the tours will take you to the gravesites of some of Bainbridge and Decatur County’s past leaders whose stories are portrayed by local actors. It is a chance to learn more of the history of the area.
The Spring tour will feature the lives of John M. Brown, played by Kier Klepzig; Prescott L. Forsyth, portrayed by Joe Livingston; Clayton Pennhallegon takes on the personality of Charles J. Munnerlyn; Edwin J. Perry Jr., Mary Celia Perry are portrayed by Chip and Linda Perry; and William S. Townsend is taken on by Chris Davis.
The tours are free and open to the public.
