Kimalyn Michelle Wood was born July 20, 1966, in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Charles and Judith Faircloth Wood. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1984, and Albany State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Kim was married to Joey Lee Earnest and taught 5th grade at Seminole County Elementary School. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God.

Kim loved people: her family (in-laws & out-laws), children (especially her students) and her nieces and nephews who made her heart swell with pride. She also loved the Lord and loved to sing His praises. Kim had quite a repertoire across genres. Many will remember fondly her creative yard decorations that captured her fun and imaginative spirit. Kim was all about her fur babies and spent countless hours walking and playing with them. She spoiled them rotten and loved every minute of it.

Survivors include her husband, Joey L. Earnest; her four-legged children, Harley and Buckshot Earnest; her sister, Kelly Wood Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wood and Judy Wood-Cloud; and her brother, Kevin L. Wood.
