Kelley throws shutout, smashes home run

Bainbridge pitcher Will Kelley threw a shutout on the way to a 13-0 rout against Brookwood on Tuesday at the Bearcats Diamond.
The Bearcats mercy ruled Brookwood in five innings.
Kelley went all five-innings, allowing just two hits, striking out five and walking one. Brookwood went through four pitchers who allowed a combined 12 hits from the Bearcats.
Kelley was also a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, banging out one RBI and scoring a run as well. Quayde Hawkins also had a big day on offense. He went 2-for-3, racking up two RBIs and scoring two runs.
Eight different Bearcats got hits against Brookwood.
Bainbridge didn’t commit a single error in the field. Walt Burrell had the most chances in the field with five.
