BHS Gymnastics team finishes season strong

The BHS and BMS GymCats gymnastics team finished their season strong at the Jones County GymHound Invitational which was held in Macon on March 17. 

The BHS Varsity Team, comprised of Emily Chambers, Josie Deal, Carmen Fillingame, Laura Lynn Gordan and Caroline Middleton placed third to seven teams, and Laura Lynn Gordan placed fourth on vault.  The BHS JV team, comprised of Kennedy Jester, Marbella Rich and Sarah Kaylee win had a very strong showing. 

Jester tied for third on vault, tied for first on bars, fourth on balance beam, first on floor, and first All Around; Rich tied for third on vault, tied for first on bars, and placed first on balance beam.  Wynn placed second on balance beam, second on floor and third All Around.

The BMS middle school performed strong despite having two injured gymnasts who were unable to compete.  Kaitlin Bennett placed first on vault and second all around, and Maloree Inlow placed third on bars, first on beam, first on floor, and first all around. 

Senior Josie Deal was recognized prior to awards.  Senior McKenzie Findley was not in attendance.
