Wanda Faye Hornsby Whittaker

Wanda Faye Hornsby Whittaker, age 74, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, ALa.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Brinson Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Crapps officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mrs. Whittaker was born in Donalsonville, Ga. on March 22, 1943, to Maurice Ezekiel Hornsby and Mildred Florence Arnett Hornsby.  She was a member of Brinson Baptist Church and co-owner and operator of Pace’s Fish Camp for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Pam Sheffield and H. Cliff Whittaker; her grandson, Grant T. Sparks; her siblings, Murray Hornsby, Carolyn Bridges, and Larry Hornsby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Whittaker was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Ezekiel Hornsby and Mildred Florence Arnett Hornsby; her husband, Harvey Cliff “Bunky” Whittaker; her sister, Marjorie Spooner and her brothers, Ray Hornsby and Phillip Hornsby.
