Thelma Brogdon Bell Hudson, age 88, of Donalsonville, Ga. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Nolan Hospital in Dothan, Ala.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hudson will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church with her son, Rev. Graham Bell, and Rev. Tony Mock officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Kevin Harrison, Ryan Culverson, Nathan Bell, Stephen Bell, Kaleb Harrison, and Landon Toole serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Two Egg, Fla. on February 23, 1929, to the now late Louie Brogdon and Audrey Barnes Brogdon.  She worked her way up in the Avon Corporation to a position of manager, having even won the Avon car.  She retired from there in March of 1995, and later returned to work as a Walmart greeter, working her last day with them at the age of 84.  She was a member of New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church.  She loved baking and hosting family gatherings.  Mrs. Hudson enjoyed crocheting and has made all of the grandchildren baby blankets.  She was a Godly woman who loved reading her Bible and singing.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Frances Bell of Bainbridge, Evelyn Maxwell of Whigham, Ga., Ann Harrison and her husband Emory of Whigham, Ga., Rev. Graham Bell and his wife Audry of Arvin, California and Alethea Culverson and her husband Bobby of Donalsonville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Brogdon of Milton, Fla.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Rev. Ralph Bell and John Hudson; her son-in-law, Bob Maxwell, and her siblings, James Brogdon, Charles Brogdon, Gladys Anderson, Lucille Hatcher, Doris Gunnels, and C.L, “Red” Brogdon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
