The Bainbridge Bearcats basketball team fell 80-49 to a strong Warner Robins team last Friday, but bounced back with a much-needed region win over Thomas County Central on Saturday.

The Bearcats currently sit at third in Region 1-AAAAA, behind Warner Robins (19-3, 8-0 region) and Harris County (4-2, 9-14 region). Behind them is TCC at 2-4 (5-17 overall) and Veterans at 1-6 (7-16 overall).

Jeremiah Davis had a big scoring night against the Demons with 19 points. He hit five 3-pointers and also had 3 assists. He was followed by Jaylyn Scott with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Bainbridge defense did a good job holding the Yellow Jackets to under 40 points on Saturday as they went on to win 46-36.

Davis had another big night, pouring in 14 points and hitting four 3-pointers.He also had five steals. Tevin Price was right behind him with 13 points scored and 5 total rebounds. Deunta Gardner had a big night on rebounds with 7.

The Bearcats will host Seminole County this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
