Erfred “Sonny” Richardson Jr.

Funeral service for Erfred “Sonny” Richardson, Jr., age 78 of Hanceville, Ala., was held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.  Burial was at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park on Friday.

Mr. Richardson passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Hanceville Nursing Home.  He was born January 21, 1939, to his parents Erfred and Anita Richardson, Sr.  He received his BS in Engineering at the University of Alabama and received his MS in Engineering from Defense Systems Management College, Washington D.C. After retiring to Smith Lake in Cullman, Ala., he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Richardson, children; Sandy Lee and Charles (Meghan) Hollis, grandchildren; Ellie Hollis and Jeffrey Lee and sisters; Sara Ann Banks, Anita Jean Bryce.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
