Lady Cats beat Cairo, Warner Robins to hit 11 straight wins

The Lady Cats added two more marks to their win column last weekend. They beat Cairo on Friday 56-43 and pounced on region rival Warner Robins for a 53-49 win on Saturday.

Bainbridge is now 18-2, but still holds second place in Region 1-AAAAA behind Harris County (17-2, 4-0 Region). The Lady Cats will get their shot to take the No. 1 spot in region this Friday when they host the Lady Tigers at the Bainbridge Gym.

After that, Bainbridge faces a gauntlet of region games before closing out the regular season against Seminole County on Feb. 3 at home.

Nadia Marshall lit up the scoreboard against the Syrupmaids last Friday, pouring in 20 points. She also earned the double-double with 11 rebounds. Marshall was 2-of-4 from the free throw line.

Tytianna Roseborough his three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.

Tyra Smart added 9 points to the board, and India Parris put in 6.

Against Warner Robins, the Lady Cats had an explosive second quarter to give them an edge going into the second half. Bainbridge was outscored 14-13 in the first quarter, but poured in 20 in the second to make the score 33-23 at halftime. Bainbridge added another 9 points in the third to the Lady Demons’ 7 and allowed 19 points in the fourth.

The Lady Cats tip off against Harris County this Friday at 6 p.m. at the BHS gym, followed by a Saturday game at Veterans at 5 p.m.
