Don’t let the cold weather keep you from joining the 5th Race to Rescue 5K & 1 Mile Dog Jog on Saturday, January 20. Bundle up and head on out to the Earle May Boat Basin Nature Trail for registration at 8 a.m. and begin to traverse the flat, paved trail at 9 a.m.

Pre-register and pay $25 per person by January 12. If you wait until the race day, the cost goes to $30. Checks should be payable to: Race to Rescue BDCHS, and mailed along with the pre-registration form to: 6247 Cunningham Rd., Donalsonville GA 39845.

The 1 mile is not timed and pet dogs are invited to trot along with their owners, provided the dogs are nonaggressive, current on vaccinations, collared with ID tags, and on a leash. All 1 mile participants will receive a ribbon, while 5K award medals will be presented to lst, 2nd and 3rd place runners in each age/gender category.
