Bainbridge Public Safety takes families holiday shopping to ensure every child gets a gift this year
Kids gathered at WalMart Friday morning to participate in the annual Shop with a Cop event.
Throughout the year BPS receives a multitude of grants and puts some of the money aside in order to help families during the holidays. The families are chosen by the ones who have the most need. The money is divided and given by the amount of children the family has and what their needs are.
After the family shops with the cop, they return to Bainbridge Public Safety Headquarters to wrap the presents and eat a lunch provided by BPS. BPS also sends them home a basket of meat and other assortments to ensure they have a meal worthy of Christmas dinner.
