Jean Carol Webb was born November 1, 1957, in Hahira, the daughter of Clifford Henry Webb and Jane Ingram Webb. She was a graduate of Lowndes County High School and Hillsborough Junior College. Jean served her country in the Air National Guard for nine years and worked in human resources at Effingham County Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Whigham United Methodist Church.

Being the baby sister to two older brothers, Jean learned how to be stubborn and hard-headed when it served her. She had an opinion on everything. She was active in her churches in Springfield and Guyton especially during Vacation Bible School where she could craft. Jean enjoyed scrapbooking, making greeting cards and reading. If the weather was nice, you could find her outside piddling in the garden, planting flowers, hunting or fishing. She loved to travel, recording some of her favorite trips to Europe, China, Asia, Norway, the Bahamas, South Korea, Alaska and many National Parks in the United States. Jean could not wait to get to Heaven…so she could sing.

Survivors include her son, Jacob Evans Blackburn of Edwards Air Force Base, California City, Calif.; her mother, Jane King of Enterprise, Ala.; her siblings, Stephen and Lisa Webb of Bainbridge, and Ross and Sara Webb of Pavo, Ga.; her nieces and nephews, Joshua and Melissa Webb of Crewe, Va. and Lilly Ann Russell of Roopville, Ga.; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Henry Webb, and her nephew, Lee Webb.
