First National Bank’s Lorenda S. Smith, VP of Retail and Marketing and VP Lender Bert Hines, recently visited Decatur County School’s Performance Learning Center to share with teens how to use credit effectively and basic budgeting 101.

“A strong understanding of financial fundamentals is essential to a successful future for these young men and women,” said Smith. “As a lender, I jumped at the opportunity to deliver this critical lesson about the importance of credit to these young people,” said Hines.

Approximately 23 seniors heard from these two bankers about the importance of setting a budget to manage their money and how credit works.
