For those in Bainbridge who enjoy watching new TV shows during the holidays, you may notice a familiar face on your screen this weekend.

Bainbridge native Daniel Walker, son of Dennis and Barbara Walker of Cairo, will be featured on the Sunday night episode of HGTV’s hit series “Beach Hunters.”

Walker currently is a real estate broker at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services on the Emerald Coast Beach Homes Team, where he sells vacation properties in Panama City Beach, 30A, Miramar Beach, Sandestin and Destin, Florida.

In Sunday night’s episode, Walker will be showing a variety of million dollar homes to his clients from Paragould, Arkansas.

Walker was originally contacted by HGTV and asked to do this. When presented with the idea, he said he was surprised, but excited. Walker had to ask his clients if they were willing to be on the show and they agreed.

The couple really wanted a view and home with a minimum of four bedrooms and a pool where the family can gather for fun and barbeques.

Walker said the couple originally had some trouble finding a home with the views they were hoping for in their $1.5 million budget, so he happily stepped in to help them find what they were looking for.

Walker focuses in second home vacation rentals at any price point, but specializes in luxury properties, so he knew just how to help the couple.

“I’m excited for my customers,” Walker said. “I think after the episode airs they might get better rental income, because they can say as featured on HGTV. It will also help tremendously if they decide to sell it one day.”

While Walker said the beginning of the beach hunt was a little stressful and tedious at times, he believes it brought about a friendship with his client, Chad and his wife.

“It’s going to be fun having him down here,” Walker said. “I can’t wait to hang out with him and become better friends.”

Walker strives to develop a personal relationship with his clients. He hopes the show will create more business and more Southwest Georgia people will consider coming to see him. He said would love to work with anyone, but especially the Columbus, Albany, Bainbridge and Cairo areas.

Walker’s episode will premiere Sunday, Dec. 3, on HGTV at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time.
