Wednesday night at approximately 8 p.m. a man was robbed at gunpoint in the Walmart parking lot.
Although the man was robbed at gunpoint, it was a store associate’s black Pontiac G6 that was stolen, along with a string of other vehicles being broken into. The vehicle was recovered on Cosmo Street around 10 p.m.
Officers are actively searching for the two suspects. They are black males, one who is short in stature and was wearing a camouflage jacket and khaki shorts and has “Jerry Curls” or twist dreads. This is the suspect who was in possession of the gun, and is considered armed and dangerous. The second suspect was wearing a gray hoodie with light colored pants.
Bainbridge Public Safety has received a Walmart surveillance video that they are hoping will help them identify the two men.
If anyone believes they know or have seen these two men, they are encouraged to call 911 or Bainbridge Public Safety Investigator Chris Avery at 229-726-4727.
This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as Bainbridge Public Safety continues to follow up on leads.
