Flint the Elf wants citizens to shop local

The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce has a new intern.

Flint is a stuffed elf who will be hiding around local businesses in Bainbridge. Flint will be hidden at a different location every Friday, and everyone who finds him will have the chance to be entered into a drawing for $100 in Bainbridge Bucks.

Those who find him have to take a selfie with him and post it on Facebook with the status, “Hey Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce I found Flint while out shopping small! #ShopSmall #LoveWhereYouLive

You can go to the Chamber’s page each Friday to get a clue. They will post a picture to hint at Flint’s new location. The goal is to remind all your Facebook friends to shop local, especially on “Shop Small Saturday,” coming on Nov. 25.

The contest will run through Dec. 15. Flint’s location will be changed Nov. 17, 19 and 24, and Dec. 1, 8 and 15.

If you find Flint, and are unsure of what to do or how to make sure you’re qualified in the drawing, you can contact the Chamber at 229-246-4774 with all questions.
