Oak City Cemetery books available in time for Living History Tour

Do you have family buried in Oak City Cemetery?
The Oak City Living History Cemetery tour is Thursday, November 9th, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Decatur County Genealogical Society, has the latest updated cemetery books available for sale at their library.
The first person buried in the cemetery was William Peabody in 1852. The book was updated on April 9, 2017. The book is in two sections and has over 300 pages. The first section is listed alphabetically. The second section is by Block & Lot so that you can see who might be buried next to your family. It’s a great tool for finding missing relatives.
To purchase your copy stop by the Decatur County Genealogical Society Library, located one block off the square at 215 E. Water Street. Tuesday, thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. except on Wednesday they close at 4:30. The books are only $30.00
