Scott Alan Salmon was born January 23, 1954, in Columbus, Ind., the son of Ollie Webb Salmon and Joyce Gossett Salmon. He was a graduate of Florida High and was a talented carpenter by trade. Scott married Linda Brown in 1991, and made his home in Southwest Georgia.

Scott was a man of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening and searching for arrowheads. He was the person that could spot things in the woods that others would pass by. Family was very important to him so it comes as no surprise that his favorite television show was Andy Griffith.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Linda Brown Salmon; his son, August Salmon and his wife, Juli, of Virginia; his father, Webb Salmon; his siblings, Emily Burke and her husband, Jim, of Tallahassee and Laura Wharton of Crawfordville; his grandchild, Oakley Salmon; and a special friend, Bengy. Scott was preceded in death by his mother and his daughter, Audrey Texanne Salmon.
