Bonnie Jean Prince Hollingsworth, 83, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Whigham, Ga., passed away Friday, October 20, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Trinity Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Franklin Bryant and Elder John Mizell officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Van Ponder, Ward Hollingsworth, Wendell Hollingsworth, Bobby Hollingsworth, Paul Dustin Hollingsworth, Tony Godwin and Hunter Calhoun serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.

Bonnie Jean Prince was born January 18, 1934, in Cairo, Ga., the daughter of Lollie Elias and Sadie Louise Paschal Prince. She was a graduate of Cairo High School, Class of 1942 and a member of Trinity Primitive Baptist Church. Jean retired from the State of Florida, Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

Jean always managed to find something to occupy her time. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and sewing. She loved RV camping and never seemed to meet a stranger at the campgrounds. She served as Secretary of the Good Sam Club for many years. Jean was an active member of Florida Motor Coach Association, Wayside Community Club, Golden Glow Ladies and CHS Class of 42 Reunion Group.

Survivors include her children, Clara H. Herr and her husband, Jim, of Grove City, Ohio, Rebecca Hollingsworth of Tallahassee, Fla., and Paul Douglas Hollingsworth and his wife, Sue, of Bainbridge, Ga.; her brother, Andy Prince and his wife, Donna, of Biloxi, Miss.; her grandchildren, Brigid & Brian Allgood and Paul Dustin Hollingsworth; her five great-grandchildren; and close family friends, BJ & Georgia Ryan. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kedar Wright Hollingsworth, Sr.; her son, K. Wright Hollingsworth, Jr.; and her brother, James Braxton Prince.
