Southwest Georgia Academy retires Weston Lee’s jersey

On Friday, October 13, 2017, 1st Lt. Weston Cecil Lee’s #24 jersey was retired at Southwest Georgia Academy’s field. Weston Cecil Lee died Saturday, April 29 in Mosul, Iraq, from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated during a patrol. Lee is said to be perhaps the greatest Warrior to ever come through Southwest Georgia Academy.
The ceremony included Weston’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee, close relatives, fiancé Savannah Farr and his 82nd Airborne Division Platoon.
His jersey will be displayed in the gym for everyone to remember lst Lt. Weston Lee.
