Miss McGlincy and Dr. Blackstock to wed in December.
Joseph and Donna McGlincy, of Bainbridge, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kylie McGlincy, of Bainbridge, to Adam Blackstock, son of Timothy and Gail Blackstock, of Buford, Georgia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Raymond and Dolores McMullen and the late John and Martha McGlincy.
Miss McGlincy graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2010. She graduated from Troy University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music Education and in 2016 with a Master of Science in Education. She is employed as Director of Bands for the Brantley School in Brantley, Alabama.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Lenis Blackstock and the late James Blackstock, Ted Allen, and Linda Wilkes.
He is a 1998 graduate of Westside High School in Anderson, S.C. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Newberry College, a Master of Arts from Tennessee Technological University and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Kansas, majoring in percussion performance.
Dr. Blackstock is the Associate Professor of Percussion at Troy University.
The wedding is planned for December 16 at First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge at 3:30 p.m., with a reception to follow at the Charles Kirbo Center. Invitations will be sent.
