Local author to release new book

Patsy M. Henry, a prolific local author, best known for her children’s books about her pet rabbits, has produced a new book on a new subject.
Titled The Share Cropper’s Daughter, it is described by the author as fiction, with some similarities to the author’s background. The main character is named Sara.
The bio of the author, as it appears on the back cover states: “Patsy M. Henry grew up on a small farm in South Georgia with six other siblings. Her father was a share cropper. Needless to say, she grew up with lots of love, but opportunities were limited. She never learned to ride a bike, skate or swim. When it was her “turn,” she had the pleasure of riding in the back of the family pickup truck to the nearby town of Pelham. It brought a huge smile to her face when she was treated to a walnut ice cream cone from the Hand Trading Company. Somehow, maybe by the grace of God, all seven siblings finished high school and struck out on their own.
The author married and settled down in the neighboring town of Bainbridge.”
There will be an on-line book launch on Amazon on Wednesday, September 27. The link is https://www.amazon.com/Sharecroppers-Daughter-Patsy -M-Henry/dp/1976214785/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506011032&sr=8-3&keywords=patsy+m+henry.
