Bearcat, Cougar runners post strong results at home meet

The Bainbridge Bearcat high school and middle school and the Grace Christian Academy teams showed up to their home meet Saturday ready to run.

The Bainbridge boys placed sixth out 15 and the Lady Cats took fourth out of 15 teams.

Efrain Diaz came in 10th place overall and finished the 5K first for the Bearcats with a fast time of 18:22.11. Haydn Griffin was just 30 seconds behind him with a time of 18:54.39, followed by Stokes Moore with an 18:59.11.

Aiden Matthews crossed the finish line at 20:33.41, Timothy Porter clocked in at 20:55.78 and Andru Matthews came in at 21:16.10.

Johnathon Farrington came through at 22:12.47, Hunter Matthews clocked in at 22:42.68, Titus Porter came through at 22:49.42, John Willis Maples came in at 23:00.89, Ashton Matthews clocked a 23:23.45, Tymere Nobel came in at 24:23.02, Jaquan Freeman clocked a 24:35.96 and Angel Guzman finished with a time of 25:05.35

For the Lady Cats, Viviana Schuyler had an outstanding 5K race, finishing ninth overall and first for the Bainbridge girls with a time of 22:24.54.

Uriyah Davis had a great race as well, clocking in 23:48.41. Camry Fillingame wasn’t far behind her, coming through at 24:04.48.

Aliyah Schuyler clocked a 24:24.55, Jennifer Mendoza came through at 26:55.25, Aileen Mejia came in at 28:37.85, Nikita Harrell clocked in at 29:27.40, Caitlin Shephard finished at 29:43.37, Julie Wells crossed the finish line at 31:56.91, Makayla Ingram came through at 36:38.77 and Chloe Enfinger finished at 36:49.68.

Jared Davis led the way for the BMS Bearcats in the two mile run with a time of 13:18.98. Landon Watts followed with a time of 13:47.01, Hunter Harris clocked a 14:15.81, Zach Buchanan came in at 14:36.97, Joshua Fillingame came in at 15:15.86, Diego Luevano finished at 15:22.17, Thomas Brock came in at 16:24.39 and DeZhreon Donaldson clocked a 17:38.25.

Grace Christian Academy’s Cougar and Lady Cougars had a great showing at the meet as well.

Wyatt Carpenter finished at 19:57.65, Daniel Jones came in at 20:18.62, Gabe Parker finished with a 20:33.48, Jack Holden clocked a 20:50.68, Seth Parker came through at 21:30.39, Collin Woodrum finished with a 22:00.10, Chasen Wood finished at 22:48.51, Clay Wells clocked in at 22:55.90, Jeb Smith finished with a 24:47.71, Sam McRae finished at 25:23.61, John York came in at 25:57.93 and Garrett Donalson finished with a 35:15.38.

For the Lady Cougars, Lilah Widner came through at 28:44.04, Caroline Wells finished at 30:37.54, Abigail Anderson clocked a 32:36.52, Carly Godwin came in at 33:12.46, Ruth Carraway came in at 38:25.98 and Abby Bodrey came through at 43:08.28.
