Today’s special called meeting for the City of Bainbridge has been postponed.

The Bainbridge City Council will meet at 8 a.m. Tuesday to approve a TSPLOST intergovernmental agreement. The agreement has to be approved before the Decatur County Board of Commissioners meets to approve their TSPLOST intergovernmental agreement at its meeting at 9 a.m.

The tropical storm warning in the Decatur County region is expected to be over by tomorrow morning.

TSPLOST (Transportation Special Local Options Sales Tax) is a 1 percent sales tax that generates revenue for transportation projects. If approved by voters in November, the sales tax will go into effect in April 2018 and serve as a source of revenue for road projects throughout Decatur County.
