Bettie L. Meinema, age 75, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Meinema will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service at 2 p.m.. Active casketbearers will be Ben Wynn, Josh Wynn, Ricky Robinson, Lamar Jones, Robbie Jones, and Doug Chambliss.

Mrs. Meinema was born in Cottonwood, Ala. on December 14, 1941, to Wyatt Wade Jones and Gladys Mae King Jones. She enjoyed traveling with her husband who was in the Navy for 20 years, so their traveling was very extensive. Mrs. Meinema was also a member of the Navy Wives Club for Mr. Meinema’s squadron. She attended the Berean University of the Assemblies of God. Mrs. Meinema loved to read and held a Ministers License with the Assembly of God Churches. Mrs. Meinema was a homemaker and member of Calvary Assembly of God Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kim Wynn and her husband Gene of Bainbridge, Ga.; three brothers, Allen Jones and his wife Donna of Donalsonville, Wesley Jones of Donalsonville and Robert Jones and his wife Joyce of Eufaula, Ala.; three grandchildren, Ben Wynn, Josh Wynn and his wife Kaitlyn, and Hannah Wynn; and one great-grandchild, RaeLynn Wynn.

Mrs. Meinema was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt Wade Jones and Gladys Mae King Jones and her husband Abraham “Abe” Meinema.
