Mrs. Louise Powell Day

Mrs. Louise Powell Day, age 87, passed away at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, Georgia. A private, graveside service will be held for Mrs. Day. She will be interred beside her husband in Oak City Cemetery.

Myrtle Louise Powell was born October 1, 1929, in Opp, Alabama, to Robert and Annie Lee Powell. Louise married the love of her life, Arthur Arnold Day. They were married 38 years before he preceded her in death. Mrs. Day was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Louise trained to become a nurse and loved working in that profession. Her husband opened Day’s T.V. and Radio Shack and Louise started working there.   She truly enjoyed working there with him for many years. Living on a boat was how they spent their retirement. She loved that time in her life. Louise Day was all about family. She adored her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Louise Day will be sorely missed by the family and friends she loved so very much.
