Victoria Henley shows off her modeling skills that she and other young talents hope to showcase at the Magnifique Fashion Show on August 26, at the Kirbo Center.

Georgia native, Victoria Henley, was recently signed on as a Show Host Apprentice to the international shopping network, Jewelry Television (JTV).  What makes Henley so special is she is the only host from Georgia and the youngest host in the network’s history.

Henley has been with the network for about two weeks now. She said the process was extremely long, but when they offered her the job it was a wowing feeling. Henley had previously been modeling, traveling and what she called living a “nomadic lifestyle.” Now, she is excited to settle down and connect with the people at the network and learn about the gems and the rich history behind them.

Before hosting on JTV, Henley modeled for Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Mara Hoffman. Along with modeling, Henley runs her own company, Magnifique, through which she books, trains, develops and produces live shows for models, designers and vendors through referrals.

Henley is no stranger to model training. She was a toddler when she was scouted to model for Wal-Mart baby and toddler, after taking a couple of years to be a normal kid, Henley saw a commercial for Goody’s, where her cousin was modeling. Not only was her cousin a model, but taught modeling lessons two hours away. Henley’s mother saw the want in her daughter’s eyes and decided to drive her to the lessons weekly. Through the lessons, Henley learned to do improv modeling, runway and public speaking.

Henley’s desire to create her own model-training studio came during her stint on Cycle 19 of America’s Next Top Model (College Edition). “During the breaks while some girls were hanging out by the pool, I started writing business plans for what I wanted to do when I left.” She began her modeling roster and started getting referrals. From there, she would bring in the referrals and look over their portfolio, help them find vendors and do self-confidence building exercises.

The Magnifique models will be modeling in Henley’s fashion show on Saturday, August 26, at the Kirbo Center. Henley said guests can expect to see a one-day only fashion show that you can’t see anywhere else. There will be outfits ranging from resort wear and lifestyle to theatrical and avant garde pieces. Retailers will include Touchstone by Swarovski Crystals, Irene Doherty Statement Jewelry, Jarix Fashions and pieces inspired by Steampunk and Alice in Wonderland. Guests can also look forward to entertainment by opera singer, Maggie Dreibe, Sinatra Impersonator, Javier Carrasco. After the showcase, dancer, Zayda Bentley will be dancing to Great Gatsby inspired songs.

The entertainment begins at 3:30 p.m., with the full runway showcase, followed by a special “People’s Choice Walk”, which will benefit one of Henley’s favorite charities, The Humane Society.
