Multiple arrests on drug charges have been made by Bainbridge Public Safety Officers since Aug. 6.

On Aug. 6 around 2 a.m., Bainbridge Public Safety Officer Jayson Myers and Officer Tarow Barney were patrolling when they observed a vehicle driving erratically.  Myers stopped the vehicle that was driven by Gregory Jackson.  Also in the vehicle were Yolonda Baulkman, and two children.  While speaking with Jackson about the reason for the stop, Myers could smell a strong odor of alcohol. Myers asked Jackson if he had been drinking and he said he had.  Officer Myers then asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. Jackson replied that there might be, he wasn’t sure.

Officer Myers asked permission to search the vehicle and Jackson agreed.  Jackson and Yolanda Baulkman, who was holding an open beer, were both asked to step out of the vehicle.  Officer Barney stood with Baulkman as the vehicle was searched.  Officer Myers located a blue plastic bag containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine in the cup holder between the front seats. Both Jackson and Baulkman denied any knowledge of the bag.  Located on the floor of the front passenger side, Officer Myers found a pack of cigarettes with a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine inside. Myers asked Baulkman if the cigarettes belonged to her and she said they did.  Gregory Lydell Jackson, 49, of Bainbridge, and Yolanda Baulkman, 38, of Bainbridge, were both placed under arrest. Gregory Lydell Jackson, age 49, of Bainbridge, was charged with Possession of Cocaine (Felony), and Failure to Maintain Lane.  Yolanda Baulkman, age 38, of Bainbridge, was charged with Possession of Cocaine (Felony). The children, who were asleep in the back seat, were turned over to a family member at Baulkman’s request.

On Aug. 7 around 2:30 a.m., Bainbridge Public Safety Officer Ronald McMillan was patrolling when he observed a vehicle driving erratically. McMillan initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Timothy Adams.  An adult passenger, Susan Garner, also occupied the vehicle.  While speaking with Adams as to the reason for the stop, Officer McMillan noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Officer McMillan asked Adams to step out of the vehicle. Officer Jayson Myers arrived on scene and asked the female passenger, Susan Garner, to also step out of the vehicle.

Two open cans of beer, cold to the touch, were located inside the vehicle.  Officer Myers retrieved K9 Kenzo from his patrol car to conduct an open-air search around the exterior of the vehicle.  K9 Kenzo alerted the officers to the presence of drugs.  With probable cause to conduct an interior search of the vehicle, Officer Myers was able to locate a quantity of methamphetamine.

Timothy Wayne Adams, age 37, of Pelham was arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Open Container.  Susan Lynn Garner, age 37, of Pelham was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute (Felony), and Possession of Drug Related Objects.

On the morning of August 9th, Sergeant Timothy Mixon was patrolling in West Bainbridge and conducted a routine traffic stop.  While speaking with Anthony Rogers, the driver of the vehicle,  Mixon noticed Rogers began acting nervous.  It was determined that Rogers was not the owner of the vehicle, and his avoidance of answering several questions made Sergeant Mixon suspicious that Rogers was hiding something. Rogers was asked to step out of the vehicle.

When asked if he had anything illegal on him or in the vehicle, it was determined that Rogers was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.  Anthony Eugene Rogers, Jr., age 21, of Bainbridge, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony).
