Bainbridge woman seriously injured in Gadsden Co. wreck last Friday

Two Bainbridge residents were involved in a car accident last Friday at an intersection in Gadsden County.

Kendra West, 21, of Bainbridge, was seriously injured in the wreck and transferred to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Casey Webb, 31, who suffered minor injuries.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Nissan Altima failed to observe a red traffic signal at the intersection of Fairbanks Ferry Road and Concord Road. The driver, Asanti Simmons, 26, of Havana, collided into the passenger’s side of Webb’s vehicle.

Simmons suffered minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted by the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Concord Fire Rescue and Gadsden County Emergency Medical Services.
