Dewey Earl Logue was born February 3, 1935 in Climax, the son of Mitchell and Mamie Mobley Logue. He was a graduate of Climax High School. Dewey was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Dewey loved to have fun and has been described as someone who “never grew up”. He didn’t mind working hard and continued to work in his yard after his retirement from farming. His grafts were amazing and he enjoyed sharing all the details of his latest blooms. Dewey was quite an outdoorsman; he hunted, trapped and fished. His one rule for fishing was never use a reel, always trust your Bream Buster for the catch.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Elene Logue; his children, Julie Logue Reichet and her husband, Wallace, of Whitesburg, Ga., Stephen E. Logue of Clayton, Ga., John C. Logue and Lynn of Bainbridge, Ga., and Charlie S. Logue of St. George Island, Fla.; his siblings, Vernice McDowell of Bainbridge, Marjorie Mitchell of Albany, Ga. and Dot Connell also of Bainbridge; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Cooper, Reyd and Griffyn. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Herschel, Carlton, Felton and Raymond.
