Harold Ralph Harrison, 80, a resident of Bainbridge, Georgia, formerly of Headland, Ala., died early Monday morning, July 3, 2017, in Memorial Hospital & Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.. (CST) Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Waylon Day officiating and eulogies to be given by Patricia Woodham and Earl Knight. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m.. (CST) Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

Harold Harrison was born and raised in Henry County, near Headland, and attended Headland High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1955 until 1959. In the recent years leading up to his retirement, Harold was a salesman with Bridges Equipment Company in Brinson, Georgia. In earlier years he was engaged in farming on the family farm, near Headland. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Harrison, his mother, Frances Hodges Harrison Trawick, his step-father, Ben Trawick, his first wife, Jean Lewis Harrison, a sister, Shirley Harrison Thomas Williams, and his brothers, Kenneth Harrison and Rex Harrison.

Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-four years, Anna Deatherage Harrison, Bainbridge; two daughters, Phyllis Carlisle (Robert), Birmingham, Ala. and Natalie Knight (Earl), Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Brett Harrison (Faye), Bainbridge, and Chuck Harrison, Cloudcroft, NM; three sisters, Patricia Woodham, and Pam Wright (Doyle), all of Headland; and Loretta Jenkins (Mitchell), Snellville, Ga.; a step-sister, Sheila McGhee (Greg), Danville, Va.; Fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
