Frances Eloise Scott Brock, 86, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. S. E. Newberry officiating. Interment will be at Brock Cemetery. “Weezie” was born March 13, 1931, in Brinson, Ga., the daughter of L. D. and Ruby Josey Scott. She was a graduate of Brinson High School and began working as a Supervisor for the Southern Airways PX. She married Rufus L. Brock in 1954, and began her family life and adventures in many different businesses. Together they ran the Handy Dan Ice Company, Citizens Jr. Food Store, and several other businesses. She was an artist, seamstress, and decorator. She loved working outdoors with her flowers and always had breathtaking results. An accomplished pianist, Weezie enjoyed playing for hours with her family and the variety of instruments played by them. She loved the Bainbridge community and gave back in many different ways, including volunteering with the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Grey Ladies, and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Highway Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Joye B. Green and her husband, Tim, of Bainbridge, and Judy B. Bell and her husband, Andy, of Climax, Ga.; her brother, Gene Scott and his wife, Phyllis, of Bainbridge; her granddaughters, Tina Kinchen and husband, Casey and Katie Jo Dixon and her husband, Frank; and her great-grandchildren, Brock Kinchen, Tripp Dixon, and Liza Kate Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rufus L. Brock, and her brothers, Milton Scott, Jake Scott, and Danny Scott.
