Bobby Emory Richardson, Sr., age 80, of Colquitt, Ga., died Monday, June 5, 2017, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. Boyd Evans and Rev. Jimmy Harris

officiating.  Interment will follow at the New Salem FWB Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Colquitt United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Joe Lane, Gary McLendon, Andy Middleton, Wallace Phillips, Ken Roberts, Billy W. Roland, Hubert Strickland, Kelley Summers, Claude Newsome, and James Phillips.

Born April 17, 1937, in Donalsonville, Ga, he was the son of the late Francis Emory Richardson and Louise Whitehead Richardson.  Mr. Richardson worked with the Georgia Forestry Commission as forest ranger for Miller and Seminole Counties for 32 years, retiring in 1988.  He served as Miller County Probate/Magistrate Judge from January 1993 through December 2000. Following his second retirement, he enjoyed camping with his friends in the Sowega Sams Camping Club.  He was a member of New Salem Freewill Baptist Church, the Colquitt Lions Club, and Miller County FFA Alumni.  Mr. Richardson was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying all types of hunting and fishing.  He loved playing and watching all sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Patton Richardson, and his daughter-in-law, Tammy Toole Richardson.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Beverly McLendon Richardson, of Colquitt; three children, Kent Richardson of Colquitt,,  Lisa (Jeff) Jeter of Faceville, Ga., and Bobby (Cille) Richardson, Jr., of Colquitt; six grandchildren, Garrett Richardson, Tyler (Laci) Richardson, Kelsi (Adam) Tabb, Jenna (Skylar) Smith, Joanna Richardson, and Andy Jeter; one great-grandchild, Holden Richardson; three brothers, Gordon Richardson of Colquitt, GA, Tommy (Patricia) Richardson of Panama City Beach, FL, and Phillip (Tina) Richardson of Bainbridge, GA; one sister-in-law, Allie Mae Richardson of Colquitt, GA; and a great number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
