Bainbridge team dominates martial arts tournament

James Robinson’s Taekwondo tournament team dominated the competition in Orange Beach, Alabama, on May 13, 2017.

Taekwondo United drew more than 500 competitors ranging from all over the United States. While the competition proved to be stiff, the Bainbridge students of Robinson’s Taekwondo dominated their league.

Makaylee Robinson won 1st place in the Little Dragons completion with Isabella Sykes winning 2nd in forms and Isaac Poitevient winning fourth in forms.

Ivan Chandler won 1st in forms and 4th in sparring and additionally won a Regional Black Belt. John Crews won 3rd in forms and 2nd in sparring ; Evan Sigman won 3rd in forms.

James Robinson won 1st in forms, 1st in sparring and won a Regional Black Belt. Ian Cook won 2nd in sparring; Dalton Spence won 2nd in forms and 1st in sparring.

Michaela Hornsby won 1st in forms and 1st in sparring, while winning a Regional Black Belt. Grant Albritton also placed 1st in forms and won a Regional Black Belt.

Kate Sigman placed 4th in forms.
