Mrs. Marie Tabb, 95, of Colquitt, Ga., died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stanley Phillips and Bill Tabb officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery with Wes Tabb, Jeb Tabb, Cody Tabb, Butler Darley, Hillary Houston, and Troupe Tabb serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017, from 2-3 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tabb was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. She retired as Miller County Tax Assessor and also served as a Sunday school teacher at Harmony Church.
She is survived by one son, Ferrell Tabb of Colquitt; one daughter, Carolyn “Cookie” (Larry) Funderburke of Bainbridge, Ga.; five grandchildren, Rona (Randy) Faircloth, Wes (Charlene) Tabb, Jeb (Carla) Tabb, Cody (Lauren) Tabb, Troupe (Macy Phillips) Tabb; seven great-grandchildren, Bethany Tabb, Bristol Tabb, Avery Tabb, Lola Linnenkohl, Hillary Houston, Butler Darley, and Bryson Faircloth; one sister, Hazel Tipton of High Falls, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tabb was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Tabb; parents, Charles and Lucille Phillips Stuart; and six siblings.
