Bearcat soccer holds awards banquet

The Bainbridge Bearcat and Lady Cat soccer teams held their annual banquet last week, honoring the players for the success on and off the field over the past season.

For the boys, Ben Mulker won the Hustle and Academic awards, Collin Morrison won Most Improved, Auston Prouse won the Coaches award, Nathaniel Lambert won the Defensive Award, Misael Rodriguez won the Midfielder Award and Angel Munoz won the Offensive Award.

Angel Munoz and Caleb Harris were honored for being named to the Region 1-AAAAA All-Region Team.

For the girls, Paige Stegall won the Fearless Award, Ilean Marquez won the Co-Offensive Award, Midfielder Award and the Coaches Award. Mallory West won the Academic Award, Most Improved and Coaches Awards. Aida Diaz won the Versatile Award and the Coaches Award.

Summer Boyd won Co-Defensive and Midfielder Award as well as the Coaches Award. McKenna Stegall won the Newcomer Award, Taylor Emmon won the Co-Newcomer award along with Jamya Brinson and Sandy Baker. Tory Sprenkle won Co-Defensive Award and the Coaches Award.

Elizabeth Brinson was awarded the Co-Defensive Award and the Coaches Award. Mary Mercer Reynolds won the Hustle Award, Laodecia Ford won the Coaches Award, and Ayline GAbino-Ventura won the coaches Award.

Ilean Marquez, Mallory West, Summer Boyd, Tori Sprenkle, Emma Brinson and Aida Diaz were also named captains.
