Members of American Legion Ladies auxiliary unit 502 recently met in a special briefing and fellowship session with their 2017 State Delegates. In attendance were several member of Unit 502, the delegates and their parents.

Girls State is a national program and course of information and instruction in procedures and operations of local, county and state government under the American system of government. Girls State is sponsored each year by Auxillary units in each state and all over the nation.

The 2017 session will be held June 11-16 at Georgia Southern in Statesboro.

Representing Unit 502 are Jordan Oliver, Kiara Jordan and Carletta Bush.

Following the briefing which consisted of finalizing paperwork, checking supplies and a pep talk, the entire group enjoyed snacks, picture-taking and fellowshipping with each other.
