Clay Wells finished second in the region for boys singles.

In the GISA State individual Tournament in Macon on April 17th and 18th, Caroline Wells and Mikey Harrell advanced all the way to the finals before losing to Milz Cain and Anna Matthews of St. George’s in the championship match, finishing as GISA state runners up, a pretty remarkable feat when you consider the level of competition, and the fact that these girls are just freshmen.

Sarah Castoro and Olivia Penela played their hearts out in an incredible four hour marathon match in first round of state tournament play, eventually losing one of the closest matches of the tournament to Annie Swan and Ansley Lamb of Thomas Jefferson Academy.

In boys play, Clay Wells easily won his first match over Johann Lopez of Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School, but lost in second round play to Eduards Andersons of Furtah Prep, who went on to play in the boys singles championship.

The Grace girls will return to Macon on Tuesday, April 25th to compete in the GISA State Team Tournament.
