Dee Humphrey, a ministry leader with the Southwest Baptist Church celebrate recovery program, which meets Tuesday night from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., updated the Bainbridge Lions Club last Wednesday on the programs goal’s and achievements.

“The Reverened Stanley Phillips, our pastor at Southwest Baptist Church on 1101 Faceville Highway, allows us to have an open door celebrate recovery program,” he said.

Humphrey told the Lions that celebrate recovery is a 12-step six to nine-month program based on the attitudes that changes lives in a positive way. He said that it focuses on relationships and encourages lifestyle changes. Through it, people with drug and alcohol problems are able to experience lifestyle changes. The word of God will never let you down.

“People who have made poor choices in their lives are encouraged to make better and more productive choices through reach to recovery,” Humphrey said.  “I am not a minister. I am just a person who received spiritual recovery through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If any type of addiction is controlling a person’s life, reach to recovery can be there to help them.”
