Kenneth Michael ” Kenny ” Rasmussen, 62, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Friday, April 14, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19,2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brett Ellinburg officiating. Interment will follow at Jonas Lobe Cemetery.

Kenny was born February 1, 1955, in Holyoke, Mass. the son of Normon O Rasmussen, Sr. and Barbara Ragan Rasmussen. He served his country in the United States Army and spent many years in the construction industry. Robert lived the last six years in Bainbridge, moving here from New Port News, Va. Kenny was of the Baptist Faith.

Through the years Kenny traveled extensively with his job. Wherever his travels carried him you could be certain that he would spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors, oftentimes enjoying his collection of firearms in the sport shooting arena. When he was forced inside he could be found listening to a wide array of music or watching one of his favorite movies.

Survivors include his father Norman O. Rasmussen, Sr ; his siblings, Norman Rasmussen, Jr., of Houston, Texas, Steve Rasmussen, also of Houston, and Sharon Olvera, of Bainbridge; his niece, Becky Bardin; and special friends, Alberto, Angela, Alicia, Kevin and Karen. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Rasmussen.
