Miss Gloria Cook, age 61, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Alabama. Services for Miss Cook will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Southwest Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Phillips and Rev. David Grubbs will officiate. The interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Jody Donalson, Albert Harder, Mike Mitchell, Joe Morrison, Larry Hammer, and Sonny Livingston will serve as pallbearers. Ronnie Ritter and Danny Ritter will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.

Gloria Cook was born October 9, 1955, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Tony Cook and Corine Ritter Cook. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and the Women’s Sunday School Class. Gloria loved her church family. She loved to color and draw. Gloria loved music. Gloria Cook will be missed deeply by her many friends and the family she loved so very much.

Gloria is survived by her sisters and brothers, Bessie Owens of Crawfordville, Florida, Mary Mitchell and husband, Eric of Cairo, Georgia, Phyllis Williams and husband, Joseph of Bainbridge, Gerald Cook and wife, Connie of Ocoee, Florida, Tony Cook, Jr. and wife, Sadie of Claxton, Georgia and Andrew Cook of Bainbridge; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Corine Cook; sisters and brothers, Jeanette Cook, Merlene Whiten, Carolyn Suggs, Ted Cook, Perry Cook, and Carlton Cook.
