William Edmond “Ed” White

Ed White died March 13, 2017, at the Living Center in Stevensville, Montana. He was born July 18, 1935, in Decatur County, Georgia. Growing up he lived in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina. He served four years in the Army and over 20 years in the Navy, stationed in Japan, Diego Garcia, Guam and Australia. His time in service also included two tours in Vietnam. He spent the remainder of his military career in Southern California. He enjoyed working with his carpentry tools, “making sawdust,” as he put it, and fishing.

Ed is survived by his wife, Lyn Mary Kettler White, and two daughters: Kimberly Jinx White of Sacramento, Calif. and Kathryn Lyn White (Weat Mattis, Jr.) of Stevensville. He is also survived by his sister, Nadine Smith (Richard) of Ellabell, Ga. and his brothers, Donald White (Jackie) of Statesboro, Ga., and Paul White Jr., whereabouts unknown, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed was cremated and a private memorial will be at a later date to be determined.
