“For them to come back and beat TCC in an important region match is huge,” Thomas said.

The Lady Cats handled their business against a region-undefeated TCC team. Now, with both teams 3-0 in region play, Harris County looms as the final region opponent next Thursday on the road.

Thursday, the Bainbridge girls were led by Sydnee Burke in the No. 1 singles spot 6-1, 6-2.

In the No. 2 singles spot, Jade Stacey won 6-0, 6-2. Gracie Suratt lost in No. 3 singles 0-6, 0-4.

The No. 1 doubles team of Matthew Walker and Lawson Humphrey went 7-5, 7-5. Jacob Reynolds and Barrett Jackson at No. 2 doubles lost 2-6, 2-6.

Tuesday, the Lady Cats were able to defeat the Lady Packers, but the boys struggled against Colquitt county. Burke won No. 1 singles 2-1, Stacey won No. 2 singles 2-2 and Surrat won No. 3 singles 2-0.

Both doubles teams took a loss, with Powell and Mills recording a 4-2 and Wiggins and Megan taking a 2-0.
