On the scoring play senior midfielder Haley Thompson sent a pass to the right side in front of Marquez, who had a shot ricocheted off of the right post, but using the outside of her foot regained possession and shot again this time for a goal.

The Lady Cats increased the lead at 2-0 as Thompson scored in the 31st minute.

Thompson and Senior Forward Aida Diaz worked a nice 1-2 combination passing on the left side until Thompson was free to the goal and got off a shot, at the six yard box,  just past an onrushing Lady Trojan keeper, for the goal. Bainbridge Freshman Forward McKenna Stegall took a pass from freshman midfielder Jamya Brinson and converted for the Lady Cats third score in the 37th minute, to give Bainbridge a 3-0 lead.

Stegall had sent a pass forward to Brinson who then dribbled to the left side of the Brooks County Penalty area, then passed back to the middle of the goal to an open Steagall who converted for the score.

In the 44th minute Bainbridge scored their 4th goal on a shot by Senior Midfielder Summer Boyd. The scoring play was set up as Marquez sent a crossing pass to Junior Midfielder Paige Stegall, who promptly sent a drop pass in the center to Boyd who took a 25 yard shot that deflected off of the goal keeper’s hands and into the goal.

In the last fourteen minutes of the match Bainbridge was able to secure three more goals to take a 7-0 victory.

Marquez scored the fifth goal being assisted by Jamya Brinson in the 67th minute.

Two minutes later Brinson scored after receiving a pass from McKenna Stegall for the sixth Lady Bearcat score.

The final goal came in the last minute of the contest as Boyd took a pass from Diaz and converted a shot for a score from 12 yards away.

Senior Lady Cats Goal Keeper Tori Sprenkle was credited with the Shutout with two saves, one being a one on one slide in the first half. Senior defender Elizabeth Brinson did a great job controlling the defensive end and maintaining possession for Bainbridge.

The win came on the heels of a 11-1 loss to a strong Veterans Lady Warhawks squad last Saturday.

In the contest Bainbridge’s lone score was set up by Junior Paige Stegall who was fouled in the penalty area leading to a penalty kick. SummerBoyd converted kick to the right side for the lone Lady Bearcat score.

Bainbridge improved its overall record to 4-5 on the season
